80 young people will present solutions for the tourism sector: Hackathon 2018

Within the framework of the eleventh edition of the International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (Fitven) 2018, the “Tourism and Digital Transformation” Hackathon will be held, an event that will be attended by 80 young professionals from all over the country.

The announcement was made this Monday by the Minister for Tourism, Stella Lugo, at a press conference from the Bolívar Park, at the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base, in Caracas, where will take place this event, which will open its doors on Thursday, November 22nd until Sunday 25.

These young people, organized in 20 teams, have been working since last September 27 in the development of crypto-payment mechanisms, tourist connectivity information systems, a portal for commercial exchange between providers of tourism services, as well as in the development of a digital robot for the attention of tourists, and a software for training and talent management in tourism.

The World Tourism Organization has cataloged 2018 as the year of technology, as tourism is one of the most important and fastest growing economic sectors in the world.
