Padrino López: Migration Police will allow to make processes more effective

The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, said that the implementation of the migratory police will serve to make more effective the migratory processes in Venezuela, to safeguard the human rights of migrants and make the migratory flow more effective and effective.

In his opinion “it is important for the immigration police to take authority in this matter. It is necessary an educational process so that this body is born well and develops well (…) we will have a strong and concise immigration police”, he said.

On evaluations to the Migration Police

He also highlighted that an evaluation has been made regarding the functioning of the Migration Police, a newly opened security body to cover the 74 checkpoints in the country.

“Already the Minister of the Interior and Justice has a road map drawn so that this migratory body has an authority in the important country and that the functions are segmented, deepening and that we will be doing progressively evaluating all the factors that influence it”, he remarked.

More than 9,000 Venezuelans have returned to the country

The also Sectorial vice-president for Political Sovereignty and Security, Vladimir Padrino, assured this Monday that more than 9,000 nationals have returned to the country, thanks to the implementation of the “Vuelta a la Patria” (Return to the Homeland) Plan.

“We must see the effort by air and land that has been made for Venezuelans to arrive in Venezuela”, said the Minister of Defense. The information was provided to the media from the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Caracas.
