The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, welcomed on Wednesday at Miraflores Palace to representatives of the United Nations Organization (UN), to continue promoting diplomacy, dialogue and peace.

The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that Venezuela is a country fervently committed to the principles and purposes of the United Nations:

“The President has saluted the multilateral instances and has said verbatim that if all the 193 countries that are part of the United Nations respect its precepts, its principles, its purposes, the world would be a paradise”, she said.

Rodriguez explained that at the meeting were discussed all the advances of the projects in terms of education, health, food, housing and everything that make up the social programs in Venezuela, bequeathed by the commander Hugo Chávez. In that sense, she informed that the 2030 UN agenda for Sustainable Development of the is included within the objectives of the 2019-2025 Homeland Plan.

For his part, the resident coordinator of the UN, Peter Grohmann, expressed the interest and willingness of the organization in supporting Venezuela to overcome the difficulties and problems that affect Venezuelans:

“All countries have problems and Venezuela has them as well, that’s why we are here to give support”, he said.
