The National Electoral Council will monitor the internal elections of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), an organization that will elect its candidates for governors and mayors on August 8, 2021.
The information was released by Pedro Calzadilla, president of CNE, during his visit to the headquarters of the Regional Electoral Office, located in Lara state, where he also announced that the opposition requested support from the Electoral Power, to hold primary elections in Nueva Esparta state.
The main rector of the CNE stated that once the respective technical evaluations had been carried out, it was determined in the board of directors that the electoral body is capable of executing the accompaniment in both elections.
The National Electoral Council is on track to hold regional and municipal elections, scheduled for November 21, 2021, where democratic strength will be confirmed in an atmosphere of peace.
