José Vicente Rangel denounced new subversive plans of the extreme right wing

Journalist and political analyst José Vicente Rangel denounced on Sunday the pretensions of radical sectors of the right wing to provoke actions that would contemplate personal attacks against figures of the National Government, as well as of the Venezuelan opposition.

During the “Confidentials” block of his “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today) program, broadcast on Sunday by Televen, the political analyst explained that the opposition extremist sector met in Washington, United States, with the National Security Adviser of that country to review plans and promote the execution of future subversive actions.

Rangel said that: “As the investigation of the August 4 frustrated assassination progresses, which is carried out with seriousness and professionalism by the competent agencies, new evidentiary elements are discovered, some of which will have successive effects as soon as they are known in the country. One of them is the unusual degree of complicity of several of the embassies of nations in the region in the aforementioned crime, and in the logistical support they provided to the assassins”, he said.

On the other hand, the journalist explained that within the Venezuelan opposition there is a division due to the fact of returning to the democratic path. One sector is in favor of dialogue and participate in the municipal elections on December 9, but does not dare to change its position “due to the blackmail that radical sectors implacably exert over them”.

“Those who are in favor of returning to the full exercise of democracy and transit within the electoral path are cornered, so they do not do it, and fold to the agenda of the violent ones and join the policy dictated by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro”, he added.
