Maduro: We must defend Venezuela against the international media inquisition

“The truth of Venezuela has to be defended, because the Venezuelan people suffer with the international campaign of media inquisition that is facing the country”, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During a press conference with representatives of national and international media, held on Tuesday at Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the Head of State referred to the fascist campaign of xenophobia against Venezuelans from Colombia and other countries:

“The real objective is to seize our country, but nobody is going to intervene Venezuela”, he said.

During a report on his tour through the People’s Republic of China, Maduro referred to the avalanche of fake news and the amount of lies circulating on social networks and in some media of the world against the nation.

“It is a process of media inquisition against Venezuela. Persecution, lies, hatred to justify the worst. If Nicolás Maduro is a dictator, everything is against him. All the lies, campaigns, contempt, hatred and even death”, he said.

In his statement, he argued that Venezuela has the social, political, military, and economic strength to walk with its own feet, to live in peace, to solve its problems and to carry an adverse environment with firmness, clarity and diplomacy.
