President Maduro and media representatives met for peace

President Nicolás Maduro met Tuesday at Miraflores Palace, with executives of public and private media in the country with the commitment to establish a sincere dialogue for peace.

“The media play a vital role for the whole process and the dynamics of dialogue (…) This is a necessary meeting for everything that has to do with peace. A permanent and profound dialogue on all the issues of the country”, said the Head of State.

During his participation in the meeting, the Venezuelan leader highlighted his intention to place political and social peace as a major issue, while he recalled the efforts of his Government to achieve dialogue between conflicting sectors of the country at various historical moments, and assured that now, after having completed the recent electoral cycle, it will activate a series of bold measures to bring the different voices closer together.

“I keep insisting and I will do it with more force before all sectors and the media I ask to have a special interest to the issue of peace, reunion, political debate, definitive and absolute denial of any non-constitutional or any other way of violence to do politics”, he said.
