The Chairwoman of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, announced that this Sunday, May 6, there will be a great Electoral Fair for Venezuelans to practice their vote and corroborate the efficiency of the electoral mechanism.
After a meeting held between representatives of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Public Powers, Lucena said that from the legal, logistical and production point of view, the next elections are fully guaranteed by the date set by that body.
“We can assure the Venezuelans that as always this electoral process is guaranteed, on May 20 we will have the presidential election and the regional legislative councils, and as always, we are ensuring good quality, excellence, transparency and reliability in the electoral process”, she said at a press conference.
At the same time, she indicated that the Republic Plan is already activated to accompany each and every one of the activities of the CNE, with the participation and support of the FANB.
She affirmed that this organism exercised extreme vigilance over compliance with the regulatory electoral protocols, complying with the electoral timetable set by the CNE, “Thus guaranteeing the efficiency, transparency and quality of the Venezuelan electoral system”.
She also pointed out that the CNE has been very active in monitoring the electoral campaign and has taken the corresponding measures in cases where there has been a breach of current regulations.
On the other hand, the operational strategic commander, Remigio Ceballos, explained that they are deployed working in coordination with the CNE, attending more than 14 thousand centers and more than 34 thousand polling stations, optimizing all the details to guarantee their deployment nationwide.
