This week begin the preparatory events of the World Summit of Solidarity with the People of Venezuela, against the threat of Donald Trump and in defense of the Constituent Assembly; Thus was announced this Sunday by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
The meeting was set after a meeting held on Sunday morning with the President of the National Constituent Assembly, Delcy Rodriguez, the chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, the Minister for Communication and Information, Ernesto Villegas, and Constituent Adán Chávez.
The preparatory events, he said, will be held in different cities around the world “In order to promote the mobilization of the world’s opinion in defense of the truth of Venezuela” and thus tackle the brutal campaign launched from the centers of communication hegemony in the world.
“I have faith that the truth of Venezuela will prevail over this campaign”, said the Venezuelan President during an interview with journalist José Vicente Rangel, held from the Simón Bolívar Hall of Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the seat of the executive branch.
Maduro expressed his desire that the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) join this crusade, and thus he hopes that the body, chaired by Salvadoran President Salvador Sánchez Cerén, will soon convene a summit for the dialogue, Peace and sovereignty of Venezuela.
