“Dialogue is the solution”, said Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López on Sunday, when he was consulted on the country’s internal crisis, fueled by the interventionist campaign of the United States Government and the Organization of American States (OAS).

Dialogue, as he continued, will allow us to recognize and confront the problems that endanger the security of the state, but for this it is required “the political will to dialogue and to recognize ourselves”.

“This would end, if there was the political will to put the interests of the country above the political interests of the cupolas, and (if) we propose to face and confront the problems with a political will”.

Padrino was emphatic in pointing out that the political crisis that the country is experiencing today must be solved by politicians; “It is not through the military route that this is going to be solved, it is not the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference that will solve it, are not the entrepreneurs, it is the politicians who must agree, sit down, acknowledge themselves, respect each other, talk, negotiate and agree on what is part of the same process of meeting between the parties in order to live together”.

During an interview on the “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today) program, broadcast by the private channel Televen, the Head of the Operational Strategic Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEO-FANB), said that the National Constituent Assembly, convened by President Nicolás Maduro, a space for the debate of ideas and for the dialogue between the different sectors of society.

Regarding the constitutionality of the popular consultation, he commented that Articles 347, 348 and 349 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic consecrated the figure of the Constituent Assembly, and ratified the support of the FANB to this instrument of consultation.

“The call to the National Constituent Assembly has a highly ethical component because the game is locked. They do not want a dialogue, there is an institutional crisis between the powers, a political crisis of recognition, the game is locked and what the President of the Republic has done is to consult the one that has the true power in the country”.
