Head of State proposes to create Constituent Commission of Truth


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, proposed to the President of the Presidential Commission for the National Constituent Assembly, Elías Jaua, to establish a Constitutional Commission of Truth to allow the reparation of the victims of the «guarimbas» (riots) and to restart a process of reunification and Pardon of the Venezuelans to achieve peace.

«I want to propose from now on … that the National Constituent Assembly with the plenipotentiary and total original power that it will have, establishes a Constitutional Commission of Truth that will allow justice to be processed, to repair the victims and to initiate a process of reunification and forgiveness Of all Venezuelans to achieve peace, the meeting and the reunion of all political and social sectors. »

The Head of State said that the arrogance, contempt, despair and famines of political power in the heart of the right wing, have overwhelmed everyone, since they can not work for the peace of the nation.

He said that the Venezuelan people mostly support the proposal of a National Constituent Assembly to review and adapt the constitutional text to new realities.
