The transfer of the mortal remains of revolutionary leader Fabricio Ojeda, on January 23 to the National Pantheon, shows the struggle of the Bolivarian Revolution to claim the true heroes who have given their lives to consolidate freedom, sovereignty and independence of the homeland, stressed on Thursday the socialist leader Jorge Rodríguez.
“For this Bolivarian Revolution, for the example and legacy of Hugo Chavez, for the firm decision, the integrity of President Nicolás Maduro, we are claiming our true heroes. Guaicapuro was vindicated, Negro Primero was vindicated, and now, the loving hands of his daughters, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and all those we feel in Fabrizio, the hero, the example to follow, we take him for hundreds of thousands to the National Pantheon, “said Rodríguez in his program “La Politica en el Divan” (Politics in the Divan), broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.
During his program, the Socialist leader said that it was with Commander Chavez that the Venezuelans knew the great heroes of Homeland history and managed to unmask the lies and violent actions perpetrated by the governments of the Fourth Republic against the people and left-wing leaders.
“Before Chávez, the country was bent over, before Chávez they had surrendered our souls, they had betrayed the spirit of January 23, the people of Simon Bolivar. Chavez came and rescued the Venezuelan being, not only the Homeland, the sovereignty, he also rescued our soul of being Venezuelan”, said the Mayor of Caracas.
In this sense, he emphasized the massive participation of the Venezuelan people, which he described as “The march of dignity”, to accompany the transfer of the remains of Ojeda to the National Pantheon.
In this regard, he said that the revolutionary leader – assassinated during the governments of the Fourth Republic – represented the true spirit of struggle that on January 23, 1958 succeeded in overthrowing the military dictatorship of Marcos Pérez Jiménez.
“Fabricio Ojeda is the favorite hero of the struggle of the 60s, 70s and also the 80s in Venezuela. He has all the characteristics of those who offered their lives for freedom, for sovereignty and for the true independence of Venezuela. He was a man of integrity, he was a man with all the qualities that a revolutionary should have”, he emphasized.
