The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Wednesday that Petrocaribe has strengthened as a backbone of security and energy stability throughout the Caribbean.
He recalled that when the organization emerged, there was said that this was impossible, “today we can say that, thanks to Petrocaribe, its members have an extraordinary fiscal stability.”
He affirmed that Petrocaribe has been very successful in social matters, noting that literacy programs, health missions, among others, have achieved great success thanks to this grouping.
He emphasized that the other countries have failed to advance in social matters, because they see it as an expense, and not as an investment to get their nations forward.
