Venezuela in solidarity with Argentinean activist Hebe de Bonafini

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela manifested this Thursday its solidarity with Hebe de Bonafini, chairman of the “Mothers of Plaza de Mayo” organization, a group of women seeking the children who disappeared during the military dictatorship of Jorge Videla, following the arrest warrant issued against her by the Government of Argentina.
In a statement by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Venezuela “categorically rejects the criminalization and political and judicial persecution against social movements in Argentina” and “ratifies to the Argentinean brotherly people the solidarity and support in this dark and fascist hour that attempts the impossible, to crush the rebellion of a people. ”

BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA
MINISTRY OF PEOPLE’S POWER FOR
FOREIGN AFFAIRS
COMMUNIQUÉ:
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its heartfelt solidarity with the unbending social activist Hebe de Bonafini, after the arbitrary measure of detention given against her without any basis, which ignominiously aims to dominate the voice of the Argentinean people through judicial terrorism.
The Venezuelan Government feels as its own the outrages against Hebe leader Bonafini, an our-american Mother, who suffered in the depths of her soul the disappearance of their children during the fascist dictatorship, and who is today again a victim of intolerant extremists who insist on taking over her freedom, through a systematic campaign of harassment aimed at criminalizing her social leadership.
It draws attention the fact that the persecution against this social leader is given in the framework of the visit to Argentina of the Secretary of State of the United States, John Kerry, as an offering provided by President Macri to his imperial masters. Already in the beginning of his recent mandate, they violated the human rights of the social leader Milagro Sala, imprisoned for disagreeing with a repressive government and legitimizing the torturers and dictators that marred the recent history of this sisterly nation.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the criminalization and political and judicial persecution against social movements in Argentina, and ratifies to the Argentinean brotherly people our solidarity and support in this dark and fascist time which attempts the impossible, to crush the rebellion of a people that has already decided its freedom forever. With Jose de San Martin we say, “Let us be free, nothing else matters.” Mother Hebe, the people of Bolivar and Chavez embraces you!!!!!
