The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, announced this Tuesday that Operation for Liberation and Protection of the People (OLP), will soon begin a new stage in the civil-military union to combat criminal gangs in the country.
“We will deepen the fight against paramilitarized crime, against drug gangs, and we will bring the OLP into its fullest power, and I ask the new Minister Nestor Reverol, to start a stage of a great impact, in order to hit all leaders of the paramilitary gang that kill, kidnap and are berthing our people throughout the country”, said the Head of State during his program “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) broadcast from the Junin Theater in Caracas.
In this regard, he called to keep further strengthening the civil-military union and requested the support of the Venezuelan people to continue to strengthen the OLP. “We have had a great success, and we are ready for a new stage”.
