Chancellor: US violates rule of international law and ignores that Venezuela is sovereign

The Chancellor of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, rejected on Thursday night the interventionist statements of the spokesman of US State Department, John Kirby, who qualified as “unnecessary delays”, the administrative and verification process conducted by the National Electoral Council to give veracity and legality to the signatures collected by the MUD for the revoking referendum.
“The US Government not only violates the rule of international law with its intrusive and alleged orders, it also ignores the fact that Venezuela is a sovereign country”, wrote the Chancellor in her account @DrodriguezVen.
She also urged the US Government “To adjust their behavior to the principles and purposes of the UN Charter, in the interests of due respect between countries.”
