Head of State ratifies call for military union between Venezuela and Colombia

During a work visit to Miranda state, President Nicolás Maduro reiterated his call for the unification of the Venezuelan and Colombian armed forces. This call aims at the joint defense of sovereignty and the right to peace between the two sisterly nations.

The Venezuelan head of state made a direct call to the Colombian people and military, inspired by the historical legacy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. His proposal envisions the formation of a unified bloc to protect regional sovereignty under the symbol of Bolívar’s sword.

President Maduro emphasized that the defense of peace constitutes a shared and unwavering commitment between the two countries. In this regard, he declared that Venezuela would not hesitate to support Colombia if it were attacked, reaffirming solidarity as a fundamental principle.

The President reported having received messages of support for this initiative from various sectors of Colombian society. These expressions of support, he indicated, come from both social groups and military personnel who view strategic cooperation favorably.

The proposal is presented as a mechanism to jointly protect the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people and preserve the right of all peoples to live in peace. This initiative marks a new chapter in bilateral relations, prioritizing cooperation over confrontation.

This call for military union represents a strategic vision to address common challenges in the region. The initiative seeks to transcend historical political differences in favor of the stability and self-determination of both nations.
