The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led the commemorative event for the first anniversary of the National University of Sciences (UNC) ”Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”. During the ceremony, the Head of State officially handed over the completely renovated spaces of the Marcel Roche Library.
Through an audiovisual message broadcast on his official channel on Telegram, the national leader addressed a few words to the university community: “1st year of the seat of the UNC ‘Humberto Fernández-Morán”! We are on the path to making all dreams come true,” said President Maduro.
In his intervention, he linked scientific development with the future of the country: “The supreme aspiration is to see Venezuela in Peace, free and independent. Let’s innovate and create a new world; the rest doesn’t matter. “You guys are the future!” he emphasized, addressing the students directly.
The remodeling of the Marcel Roche Library is part of a broader institutional effort. This project has as its main objective to expand and modernize the infrastructure dedicated to the study, research and high-level academic development.
The National University of Sciences has managed to consolidate its prestige in a remarkably short period of time. In just twelve months, the institution has positioned itself as a national benchmark in specialized training and the promotion of cutting-edge scientific research.
This first year of work has been marked by the commitment to foster young Venezuelan talent. The university has prioritized the creation of an ecosystem conducive to innovation, aligned with the strategic vision of cognitive sovereignty expressed by the National Government.
The delivery of the renovated library therefore symbolizes a concrete reinforcement of the country’s intellectual capital. This act reaffirms the commitment of the Venezuelan State to a higher education of quality as a fundamental pillar for national development.
