During the swearing-in ceremony of the Integral Bolivarian Community Commands (CCBI), the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the deployment and strengthening of these structures with the central objective of coordinating and addressing the specific needs of each territory.
The Head of State explained that the immediate task of the CCBI is to organize networks of grassroots committees to review and activate comprehensive plans related to security, defense, and production. These commands will also provide direct support in fundamental areas such as education, health, and public works, always in coordination with local realities:
“The immediate task of the Community Commands is to activate each plan in coordination with the needs of the territories,” stated President Maduro, emphasizing the local and participatory nature of this initiative.
During his address, the President reported on the significant advance in the grassroots organization. Currently, there are 237,000 active Bolivarian Committees of Integral Base throughout the country, a figure he described as a victory for street leaders, community leaders, militants and patriots.
In a recent mobilization effort, between November 27 and 29, more than 47,000 citizen assemblies were held in an equal number of communities. This process resulted in the formation of 47,000 new Community Commands of Integral Base.
“With this is strengthened the capacity to respond in each sector and consolidates citizen participation in community management,” explained the National Dignitary, emphasizing that this structure reinforces the direct link between the organized People and policies of the State.
In other moment of his speech, President Maduro referred to the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) as a central element of this organizational architecture. He defined it as more than a political party, describing it as a large patriotic family and a powerful sociopolitical force of masses:
“We are more than a party; we are a large patriotic and Bolivarian family, we are a powerful force of masses, where the PSUV is the invisible force of Homeland of the Venezuelan people,” he stated, highlighting the party’s direct connection with millions of citizens in communities across the country.
With this activation, the National Government reaffirms its strategy of promoting the organization and starring participation of the people as the axis to address collective needs and the impulse of the communal development.
