As part of the commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the Bolivarian Military Aviation and the 33rd anniversary of the Civic-Military Rebellion of November 27, 1992, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, paid a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who make up this branch of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
Through his official channel on Telegram, the Head of State referred to the Military Aviation as “a crucible of glory and professionalism” that has responded decisively to any attempt to intrude into the airspace of the Bolivarian nation.
“Their steel wings have shielded our skies, responding decisively to every attempt at incursion. Their men and women are the tireless sentinels of sovereignty, who, combating mafias and threats, guarantee the integrity of the Republic”, as stated the National Dignitary in his address.
President Maduro recalled the events of November 27, 1992, which he described as “the second great blow that sealed the fate of the Punto Fijo regime in its death throes.” He highlighted that, from that moment on, the Air Force was reborn under a “rebellious and anti-imperialist banner,” embracing the historical cause of the people and dedicating itself to honor and dignity.
“I am happy to have a Bolivarian Military Aviation, an anti-oligarchic, anti-imperialist one, made up of the military aviators who refounded the Military Aviation with Bolívar’s flag flying throughout the territory, defending the integrity and independence of all Venezuela,” he affirmed.
To close, the Commander-in-Chief expressed his profound admiration and recognition for the members of the Military Aviation, whom he referred to as the “guardians of the vast blue of the Homeland.”
“On your wings rests the defense of our peace and the sacred right to be, forever, free, independent, and sovereign”, concluded the President, reaffirming the crucial role of the institution in defending national independence and sovereignty.
