The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led a national oath ceremony for peace, unity, and patriotic loyalty. This event sought to reaffirm the Venezuelan people’s commitment to the defense of the homeland and independence, following the legacy of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez.

During the solemn ceremony, the Head of State recited the oath formula: “Patriot of Venezuela and of America, raise your hand for peace, independence, and freedom; for Bolívar, Zamora, and Hugo Chávez.” With these words was ratified the will to firmly defend the nation against any foreign interference.

The Head of State emphasized that the Venezuelan liberation project pursues true and sovereign peace: “This is not the peace of slaves, this is not the peace of colonies, this is the peace of free, independent, and sovereign peoples,” as stated emphatically the president before the assembled crowd.

The president emphasized that this swearing-in represents a historic commitment to the memory of the liberators and to the continuity of the struggles for emancipation. He stressed that “civic, military, and police unity is the foundation for guaranteeing the victory of Venezuela” in the face of current challenges.

In his speech, the Venezuelan president affirmed that “Bolívar will return, Sucre will return, the giants will return, and the great homeland will return, free and united.” He affirmed that regional unity is the path to consolidating the independence and sovereignty of the South American peoples.

This massive swearing-in project projects the liberating force and unity of the Venezuelan people in defense of their sovereignty, reaffirming their commitment to the Bolivarian and Chavista ideals that guide Venezuela’s national project.
