With a massive participation and an exemplary organization, the fourth National Popular Consultation 2025 took place this Sunday, where the Venezuelan people exercised its sovereignty to prioritize community development projects, reaffirming the democratic, participatory, and leading character of the people.
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, described the balance of the journey as «successful and extraordinary,» highlighting the territorial diversity and civic maturity demonstrated by the citizens.
Through his channel on Telegram, the Venezuelan head of state emphasized the concept of a true democracy built from the ground up:
«True democracy is the one experienced in Venezuela by ordinary men and women, empowered. Let’s do everything and never depend on anyone, so that the homeland is absolutely independent,» stressed the National President.
The consultation, which included the participation of community leaders and spokespeople from the Communal Councils, allowed communities to directly choose the initiatives they considered priorities for the collective well-being.
The electoral process proceeded smoothly from early morning throughout the country.
«This day reaffirms that voting is a sovereign right exercised with maturity. Thank you to each spokesperson and community for this new step toward direct democracy!» added President Nicolás Maduro.
With this fourth consultation, Venezuela consolidates its model of direct democracy, where the people’s power is the main actor in decision-making for the transformation of its communities and the construction of an independent nation.
