President Maduro instructs creation of commission for integral economic development of the Workers’ productive engines

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to create the Commission for the Integral Economic Development of the 13 productive engines of the working class.

This body will have the fundamental objective of boosting the economic and productive sector of Venezuelan workers, strengthening the role of People’s Power in building a sovereign development model:

«Who can know more about economics than those who produce wealth, those who work for it? Who can know more about economics than us, the workers?» stated the Head of State during the announcement of this initiative. The commission will represent an unprecedented mechanism for the direct participation of the working class in national economic planning.

The President emphasized that, despite the «economic warfare tactics» implemented by the U.S. government, Venezuela has managed to create a new economic model that guarantees stability and 100% supply.

The workers’ commission is established as a structural response to consolidate this economic independence in the face of external pressures.

Within the organizational structure, the Productive Workers’ Councils (CPT) will play a leading role, assuming leadership positions within the commission.

Additionally, the national scientific and technological sector will be incorporated to develop tools that optimize the organization’s management and internal communication.

The commission will operate under the principle of «Independence or nothing,» as President Maduro emphasized during his address. This approach seeks to guarantee the body’s decision-making autonomy from any type of external influence or dependence in economic and productive matters.

He also urged everyone to «learn everything from everyone in the world» while simultaneously «creating in Venezuela everything we need with our own technology.»

This philosophy combines the critical appropriation of global knowledge with the endogenous development of national technological capabilities.

The commission is established as an instrument to materialize the profound re-engineering of the Venezuelan labor movement previously announced by the Head of State.

The body will facilitate the transition to a model where workers exercise effective control over the means of production and national economic planning.
