President Nicolás Maduro called on young Venezuelans to participate in a major grassroots constituent process to found a «powerful confederation of democratic and grassroots youth.» The announcement was made during the march of young communers held last Thursday in Caracas.
Through his accounts on social media, the head of state highlighted that soon will be installed the National Youth Congress with the objective of implementing this constituent process. The initiative seeks to «re-establish a gigantic and powerful Confederation of all Venezuelan youth, unlike anything seen before,» as expressed the dignitary.
He explained that this confederation will aim to unite «all the power of youth from now until the future,» connecting young people in all sectors of the country. The project is part of the strategic initiatives proposed by the national government for youth empowerment.
«We want young people to have power in universities, high schools, and communities, defending the truth about Venezuela from every corner of the country,» the president stated during his address. The initiative seeks to strengthen youth participation in all areas of national life.
The president emphasized that the organization and coordination of young people is a fundamental task for the country’s future. «The Youth Confederation must coordinate and bring together all the young people of the country; this is a great task, but it is the path we are on,» he affirmed.
This call to action is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the organization and participation of Venezuelan youth, promoting their active involvement in building the national project and defending the country’s sovereignty.
