The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, affirmed that the threats by the US will not alter the project of transformation and productive development of the country. During a work session in the Parque Caiza Rural Tourist Commune, Miranda State, the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to the national economic model.
The president recalled that there have passed fourteen weeks since the start of external threats, emphasizing that «no one will derail us from the path of producing, working, and building.» Likewise, he highlighted the importance of maintaining perpetual peace as a guiding principle of Venezuelan policy in the face of international pressure.
He also stated that «the people is the protagonist of the new history of Venezuelan politics.» This concept is based on the active participation of communities in the various development initiatives being implemented throughout the national territory.
The Head of State highlighted the concept of integral defense as a Bolivarian and Latin American military doctrine to counter foreign aggression. This strategic approach combines military capabilities with popular organization to guarantee national sovereignty.
He also reiterated the advance towards the consolidation of a new model of communal state encompassing production, economy, defense, health, education, and integral care. This model represents an alternative for sovereign development in the face of what he described as the «bad policies of a decadent empire.»
President Maduro expressed his confidence in the strength that has emerged from the organization and participation of all communities in the country. Finally, he reaffirmed his determination to maintain the course of the national development project in the face of any external pressure.
