The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured the public that food products are fully guaranteed and that the country is advancing in the exporting of domestically produced goods. He made the announcement during the «Con Maduro +” program number 96, broadcast from the Apascacio Mata Integral Health Center.

The head of state confirmed that the PAE (Production for Supply and Export) program is being fully implemented, according to the report presented by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez. He also corroborated the figures from the National Association of Supermarkets (ANSA), which report 98% supply in the country.

He reiterated that Venezuela has faced an economic war and sanctions “designed to bring the entire country to its knees.» In response, he highlighted the Venezuelan people’s capacity for reinvention: «The people renewed themselves, we reinvented ourselves, and we have built an economic model based on 13 engines that has prioritized food production.»

As evidence of international trade expansion, the president highlighted the recent meeting of the Russia-Venezuela Business Council, which was attended by 370 businesspeople from both nations. This is further bolstered by the inauguration of a new air route between Caracas and St. Petersburg, which strengthens bilateral ties:

«We are already achieving both goals: full supply with domestic production. Now, the challenge is increasing exports with high-quality products” declared Maduro. He emphasized the interest of Russian businesspeople in Venezuelan products such as high-quality cacao and chocolate.

These advances are part of the guarantee of full supply for the Christmas season, previously announced by Vice President Rodríguez. The national government is thus consolidating its policy of food sovereignty and import substitution, prioritizing domestic production.
