The president of the National Assembly (AN) and head of Venezuela’s Dialogue and Peace processes, Representative Jorge Rodríguez, announced that he has warned the United States (US) government about a serious security threat. The alert refers to a false flag operation prepared by extremist sectors of the Venezuelan right wing.

He revealed that the communication was made through three different channels, conveying the seriousness of the situation. He indicated that these groups plan to place lethal explosives at the US diplomatic headquarters in Caracas:

«In my capacity as head of Dialogue and Peace in Venezuela, I want to announce that we have warned through three different channels the US government regarding a serious threat. As part of the preventive measures, the Venezuelan government has strengthened security measures at the embassy. Representative Rodríguez emphasized that the nation’s authorities respect and protect the US embassy facilities:

«We have also warned a European embassy of these events so that they may communicate the seriousness of this information to diplomatic personnel of the US. At the same time, we have strengthened security measures at the embassy, which our government respects and protects,» as detailed Representative Jorge Rodríguez in his message.
