State and sectoral councils for sovereignty and peace were installed from this Friday

The secretary of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, Jorge Rodríguez, announced the official establishment of the State and Sectoral Councils for Sovereignty and Peace. The main activity took place this Friday in Portuguesa, La Guaira, and Lara states, marking the beginning of a nationwide deployment.

The installation plan will continue over the weekend, with a special focus on the fishing sector. Rodríguez emphasized that sectoral fishing councils will be established in all of the country’s coastal states, as this is one of the sectors most affected by imperial aggression in the Caribbean.

The expansion of these councils will also include the states Nueva Esparta, Anzoátegui, Sucre, Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo, Falcón, Zulia, and Yaracuy. The objective is to create a broad and representative structure that works to defend national sovereignty.

The work will be organized through three specialized commissions: Diplomatic, Legal, and Political. These commissions will be in charge of designing and implementing concrete actions in their respective areas of expertise in order to promote peace.

One of the key missions will be to connect with the Venezuelan diaspora and all those around the world who are in favor of peace. The strategy seeks to form international support networks with people in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions who reject bellic positions.

«We are already forming true networks around the world in the United States of America, throughout our continent, in Europe, in the Middle East (…) in all countries that promote the defense of peace,» stated the Secretary of the Council.
