The Chancellor of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with Belarusian Ambassador Dmitri Derevinski. The meeting aimed to review the bilateral cooperation agenda between the two nations.

The meeting highlighted the geopolitical synchronization between Caracas and Minsk. The senior Venezuelan official thanked Belarus for its strong support of Venezuela in the face of hostile actions by the United States (US).

This support was previously formalized in a communiqué by the Belarusian government. The statement strongly condemned the aggressive actions of the US in the Caribbean and Latin America.

The Belarusian ministry described the accusations of support for terrorism as unacceptable. It noted that these accusations against Venezuela and its leaders are baseless and purely politically motivated.

Belarus thus reaffirms its support for President Nicolás Maduro, in addition to advocating for the preservation of Venezuela’s sovereignty, independence, and stability.
