President Nicolás Maduro announced the activation of a total of 284 battle fronts within the framework of the so-called «Independence 200 Plan: Active Resistance and Permanent Offensive.» The deployment took place during the early hours of Thursday morning from the Ciudad Caribia urban development.
As informed the head of state, this strategic plan is based on three fundamental orientations. These are: active integral defense through popular-military-police unity, active resistance for the protection of the people, and the integral struggle for the homeland in all areas.
He emphasized Venezuela’s sovereignty over all its territories, declaring: «The seas, lands, and mountains belong to the people of Venezuela; they will never belong to the American empire.» He affirmed that the country has increased its mobilization capacity to respond at any time and under any circumstances.
The plan is operational in multiple strategic regions of the country. Among the areas mentioned are the coasts of Falcón state, the Catatumbo region in Zulia state, the Andes mountain range, and the plains of Apure state.
The president emphasized that the central objective is to guarantee the nation’s right to peace: «We defend Venezuela’s right to peace because no one has the right to disrupt the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the people,» he manifested during the announcement.
For this mission, is counted on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Bolivarian National Militia (MNB), who were described as ready to defend the national territory. Maduro concluded his speech by assuring that the Venezuelan people «is not orphaned» and recalling the nation’s liberating legacy.
