President Maduro: Venezuela dismantled more than 90% of criminal gangs

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced that the country’s security forces have managed to dismantle more than 90% of the criminal groups operating in urban and rural areas. The statement was made during an exclusive interview with the Russian news agency RT.

Among the neutralized organizations, Maduro specifically highlighted the elimination of the group known as “Tren de Aragua” (Aragua Train). The president noted that this has been one of the main targets of Venezuelan state security operations in its fight against organized crime.

However, the president asserted that this group has been used as a symbol to justify external pressure from the United States. «They turned the Tren de Aragua into a figurehead to support political and economic actions, and now military threats,» he stated, demonstrating the political motivation behind the international narrative.

He accused sectors of the ultra right wing of acting as agents of imperial interests, encouraging attacks against national sovereignty. He emphasized that the Venezuelan legal system provides for sanctions against those who promote foreign intervention, considering it a serious offense against the nation.

The head of state called on the population to defend and spread the truth, preparing for a permanent struggle. He urged them to remain firm in the face of an extremist government that does not recognize the internal legality of other countries.

Finally, President Maduro reaffirmed the conviction of the Venezuelan people, assuring them that they will not give in to provocations and that, if necessary, any confrontation will be carried out calmly and decisively, defending the nation’s historical values.
