President Maduro: The US employs against Venezuela a similar strategy to the one used to invade Iraq

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has compared the US strategy against his country to the one used to invade Iraq. The warning comes after the deployment of US warships in the Caribbean Sea.

He described this military deployment as “an extravagant and bizarre threat.» He noted that this presence is part of a campaign of aggression aimed at destabilizing the region.

The Venezuelan president recalled the case of Iraq, where the invasion was justified based on the lie of «weapons of mass destruction.» He emphasized that those weapons were never found, revealing a pattern of deception.

With this analogy, President Maduro discredits Washington’s current pretexts. Demonstrating that a similar disinformation scheme is being used to justify an intervention in Venezuela.

He reiterated that Venezuelans will not yield to external pressure. He reaffirmed his commitment to firmly defend the nation’s independence and peace.

The head of state reaffirmed that Venezuela does not pose a threat to the security of the United States or the region. He emphasized that all actions by the national government are of a purely defensive nature.
