Venezuela reaffirms its preparation to defend sovereignty and national peace

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, declared that the country is in a state of superior strength to defend its peace and sovereignty after a period of international siege. He affirmed that the nation now has an unprecedented global support, drawing inspiration from the morale of historical figures such as Bolívar and Chávez to respond to every threat.

During the closing ceremony of the Second Revolutionary Special Operations Course (COER), the president emphasized that every attempt to undermine Venezuela’s stability will be met with the firmness that has characterized the revolution for two centuries. He emphasized that sanctions, psychological warfare, and siege have not achieved to subdue the nation.

He highlighted the international support received from powers with ancient civilizations such as China and India, as well as from brotherly countries in Latin America. He emphasized Venezuela’s role as an example of a rebellious people seeking to awaken anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist consciousness in the region and the world.

The president emphasized the nation’s peaceful and sovereign nature, noting that Venezuela does not possess nuclear weapons or military bases on other continents. Instead, he affirmed that its most powerful weapon is its Bolivarian history and respect for the homeland, factors he considers key to its victory in the face of adversity.

In the face of US imperialism’s attempts at military intervention, the head of state decreed that Venezuela was born to be free and sovereign forever: «We were born to overcome and to never be defeated,» he asserted, reaffirming the nation’s indomitable spirit.

At the event, he congratulated the more than 1,000 graduates of the COER course, an initiative of the Bolivarian Revolution to strengthen military and police institutions. He emphasized that the personnel are characterized by their combative and professional quality, inheriting the morale of the liberators.

Finally, the dignitary concluded that the Venezuelan forces, with their liberating rather than imperialist tradition, are not designed to invade countries or steal natural resources. Their mission, he asserted, is purely defensive and is framed within the protection of the sovereignty and self-determination of the Venezuelan people.
