President Maduro calls for the defense of the Homeland in enlistment journey

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called on the Venezuelan people to actively participate in the second National Enlistment Journey. August 29 and 30 were dedicated to the defense of peace and freedom of the homeland, based on principles of loyalty and commitment.

In a message on his Telegram channel, the Head of State urged all citizens: «The homeland awaits you for the defense of our land,» was the central message with which he called on everyone to join this initiative, emphasizing the importance of mass participation.

To facilitate enlistment, the Bolivarian Militia set up more than a thousand points in main squares and emblematic spaces throughout the nation. Logistics support was provided by regional leaders, military authorities, and community organizations, within the framework of the National Sovereignty and Peace Plan.

The central objective of this event is to consolidate the civic-military union, defined as the «secret weapon» for the defense of the national territory. A leading role is given to the Bolivarian Militia, described as the most decisive component of the entire defense process.

The call is framed under the slogan «Venezuela is not a threat, we are hope.» Last weekend, this call generated a massive mobilization in the country’s Bolívar squares, with the presence of senior military commanders, the Executive Cabinet, and public authorities.

The call transcends partisan politics and appeals to patriotism, a sense of belonging, and national unity. It seeks to place the defense of the homeland at the center of attention, while also ensuring the continuity of national production in crucial areas such as food and clothing, both in times of peace and defense.
