Venezuela’s Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, affirmed that the United States (US) aggressions strengthen the unity of the Venezuelan people. During a national readiness campaign with workers of the hydrocarbons industry in Carabobo state, she highlighted the nation’s firmness in the face of imperial aggression:
«The entire country is deployed, and we are here with the combatant corps, the workers of PDVSA, of Pequiven, of the various companies that make up the energy conglomerate, and the Venezuelan Hydrocarbons Industry,» she declared.
The senior official assured that, despite the economic and psychological war, the people maintain their conscience to defend peace and sovereignty. She emphasized that these tactics do not achieve a softening of the morals, but rather consolidate an unchallengeable force for the defense of the country.
The vice president recalled the economic impact of the attacks, citing the attack on the oil industry in 2002 and the losses of nearly $600 billion over five years due to unilateral sanctions. She stressed on Venezuela’s historic resilience during the Bolivarian Revolution:
«The workers of Venezuela are deeply aware of what it means to defend our homeland, and today we are heeding the call to enlistment and the draft summons issued by President Nicolás Maduro. What for? To be ready, ready to defend Venezuela against what has been one of the terrible slanders used to justify an intervention,» she stated.
The also Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons reiterated that the nation is ready to defend its economic growth, social well-being, and right to exploit its productive capacity. Rodríguez urged the US government to remain in peace in order to preserve the harmony and sovereignty of both nations. She warned that intervention would cause great harm to the United States and instability throughout the continent.
Finally, she emphasized that Venezuela is not a threat, but rather a global hope for dignity, sovereignty, and self-determination. He emphasized that Venezuela is a peaceful people, but determined to defend its national destiny against any external attack.
