«In response to the emergencies caused by the heavy rainfalls, we have taken immediate action, in governmental unity, activating the deployment of the Andes 2025 Task Force”, stated the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on his Telegram channel.
In this regard, the head of state asserted that this deployment relies on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the support of the regional and local governments, which allows for «providing rapid attention and responses to the impact of nature that has severely affected areas of the Mérida, Trujillo, Barinas, and Táchira states due to the flooding of their rivers.»
«The entire national, regional, and municipal government team is deployed as a single force, in coordination with the People’s Power, to provide the necessary assistance. The people is not alone! We are people who solve problems!» he emphasized.
It is worth noting that in these states, landslides, overflowing rivers, flooded streets, and other impacts have been addressed in various communities, and officials are actively conducting preventive patrols at various critical points.
