Head of State: We are millions of citizens determined to be free

Through his channel on Telegram, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the country is not under a regime, but rather the result of the will of millions of citizens committed to freedom and social transformation:

There is no regime in here; it is not Chávez or Maduro, we are millions of citizens determined to be free. We will never be slaves or colonies, because we are building a new socialist and humanist society. We are one!” stated the president, reiterating his position on the role of the people in building a sovereign and independent country.

The head of state emphasized that the true essence of Venezuela lies in popular sovereignty, not in elite domination, and stressed that his administration seeks to strengthen a model based on the principles of Jesus Christ, Simón Bolívar, and Hugo Chávez.

Likewise, he rejected the attempts to discredit the revolutionary process, and defended the citizens’ determination to advance in the construction of a sovereign Venezuela.

With these statements, President Maduro reiterates his message of unity and resilience and asserts that the country remains steadfast in its struggle for independence and social justice.

It is worth noting that, in an act of sovereignty, unity, and revolutionary commitment, the Venezuelan people gathered in Grassroots Assemblies to nominate candidates for the municipal elections on July 27. This process of genuine expression demonstrates participatory and protagonist democracy, which reaffirms the central role of the People’s Power as a fundamental pillar of the Bolivarian Revolution.
