CNE confirms in second bulletin the victory of GPPSB with 83.42% of the votes in the elections of May 25

The vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, confirmed this Tuesday in the second bulletin of the highest electoral body that the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) obtained 5,024,475 votes, 83.42% of the total votes in the parliamentary and regional elections held on May 25.

This total vote obtained by the revolutionary bloc corresponds to 83.42% of the votes counted, which could be verified after 99.88% of the votes were transmitted by the voting machines, as stated the rector during the proclamation and appointment ceremony at the CNE headquarters in Caracas.

Quintero also stated that turnout in these elections was 43.18%.

He also announced the results for the other political parties:

Alianza Democrática (Democratic Alliance): 361,769 votes, 6.01%.

Alianza UNTC Única (Unique UNTC Alliance): 304,425 votes, 5.05%.

Alianza Fuerza Vecinal (Neighborhood Force Alliance): 141,588 votes, 2.35%.

Other political organizations obtained 181,926 votes, 3.02% of the total vote.

Invalid votes: 8,813, 0.15% of the total vote.

Carlos Quintero stated that out of the 185 positions, 182 were awarded, «with this next Sunday being the election for three indigenous representatives and nine legislators.»

Deputy Positions:

GPPSB obtained 253 elected representatives to Parliament

Alianza Democrática obtained 13 positions

(UNT) – Única, obtained 11 positions

Alianza Fuerza Vecinal obtained 4 positions

Alianza del Lápiz (Pencil Alliance) obtained one position

Gubernatorial Positions:

Quintero reported that out of the 24 positions, all 24 were awarded:

23 governors by the GPPSB

One governor by Alianza Democrática (Democratic Alliance)

Legislative Positions:

Of the 247 positions awarded: the Alliance of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) with 235 legislators, Alianza Democrática with seven, Alianza Un Nuevo Tiempo – Única (A New Time Alliance – Unique) (UNT) with four, and two won by the Alianza Fuerza Vecinal (Neighborhood Force Alliance).
