Jorge Rodríguez: Regional election obtained 1.3 million more votes than in 2021

The results of the recent regional and parliamentary elections have shown significant growth in revolutionary citizen participation compared to the 2021 elections, after registering an increase of 1.3 million votes, which represents a substantial increase in support for the electoral process.

We obtained almost five million votes on Sunday; five million in a regional and parliamentary election is a tremendous number,” stated Jorge Rodríguez, head of the Ven25+ Campaign Command and deputy-elect to the National Assembly (AN), when analyzing the results of May 25. He also highlighted the significant difference between first and second place in the vote count, highlighting what he considers a resounding advance for the Chavismo in the race.

Furthermore, Rodríguez dismantled the narrative of abstention promoted by opposition sectors and their sponsors abroad, asserting that the only abstention recorded came from the opposition. In this regard, he affirmed the Chavismo experienced a notable growth in this election:

«To those who have said that abstention prevailed, I tell them that we obtained 1.3 million more votes than in the 2021 election. We obtained almost five million votes!» he emphasized during his appearance on the “Con Maduro+” program. He also emphasized that this increase reflects a consolidation of the political movement and a clear response from citizens to current challenges.

In turn, the head of the Ven25+ Campaign Command described the revolution’s victory in these elections as enormous and criticized any attempt to minimize or distort the results: «Anything they say to hide this victory is an act of delusion,» he expressed, aiming to reinforce the magnitude of the triumph. He also highlighted that Chavismo obtained 700,000 more votes than in the 2015 elections, consolidating its presence in the Venezuelan political scene.

This result demonstrates popular support for the revolutionary process and its continuity in national governance, and reaffirms the commitment to the country’s development and well-being.
