Venezuela consolidates its people’s power in the face of disinformation from the global oligarchy

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that «Maduro is not the one who has the most power, it’s the people.» With these words, the President delegitimized the international press’s interpretations that claim his leadership was consolidated after the May 25 elections, emphasizing that true power resides in the citizens:

«The international press headlines say that now (after the elections) Maduro has more power… they don’t understand Venezuela; in here it is the people who has the most power,» he stated on his «Con Maduro +” program, in which he defended the electoral process as an expression of popular empowerment and community organization.

The Triumph of the Organized People:

President Maduro affirmed that the electoral victory does not correspond to a leader or a party, but to the citizens who «did not allow their rights to be taken away. Organized hope won. True democracy, the kind of democracy of flesh and blood, won.» At a time when the international oligarchy is trying to discourage Venezuelan sovereignty, the President highlighted the importance of popular participation in building a genuine democracy:

«Last night I didn’t win, nor did a party win. There won the brave people who did not allow their rights to be taken away. The organized hope won,» emphasized the President.

Popular Self-Government, a Reality in the Making:

The head of state insisted that the Venezuelan citizens, with their vote, paved the way for a model of self-government that strengthens communities and promotes the «new democracy, Popular Self-Government.» In his words, global elites do not understand the profound changes humanity is undergoing in its search for greater equality, sovereignty, and full sovereignty.

«The people of Venezuela has charted the course, with their vote, to build the power of the Communities, of a new democracy. Popular Self-Government.»

An Ethical Victory: Respect and True Democracy:

President Maduro celebrated the electoral victory as an ethical triumph, framed by respect instead of hatred, democracy over chaos, and peace over violence. He emphasized that the Venezuelan people went out to vote with joy and hope, demonstrating that resistance against the pretensions of the elites is possible through popular organization.

«There was an ethical victory. A victory of the vote over violence. Of respect over hatred. Of democracy over chaos. And that is a collective achievement of the Venezuelan people, who did not allow themselves to be provoked, who came out in peace, who voted with joy and hope.»

Monitoring Progress in the Communities:

The head of state announced that he will remain attentive to the results in the 10 most-voted electoral districts, pledging to fulfill his promise to promote projects that directly benefit communities, thus strengthening the participatory and popular democracy that characterizes Venezuela in its resilience to external pressures.

Venezuela reaffirms that its model of self-government and community organization represents a path of resistance against the impositions of the global oligarchy, which fails to understand or accept the profound changes in political power generated by organized peoples.
