From the National Electoral Council (CNE) tent, international observers expressed their satisfaction with the electoral process, describing the Venezuelan technical electoral system as impeccable and a guarantor of a secure vote for citizens. These statements highlight the efficiency and reliability observed throughout the journey.
In this regard, the observer from the Russian Federation, Dmitry Lameykin, expressed his pleasure at participating as an observer, and also highlighted the organization and transparency of the opening process: “It was a pleasure for me to participate in this process, for me as a person, in several processes in Russia, and also as a lawmaker. It was interesting to see the so new Venezuelan system,” he stated.
“We saw several important blocks, such as the phased system for citizen identification, the electronic voting control, which made voting easier and ensured transparency for citizens… Therefore, as observers from the Russian Federation as well as our colleagues from other countries, we consider the Venezuelan electoral technical system to be impeccable and one that guarantees the secure voting of Venezuelans,” stated Lameykin.
The international observer for the Central African Republic, Mathias Morouba, also shared his impressions after visiting various voting centers: “We visited several voting centers and saw how the population came out to cast their vote; it was calm. I would like to congratulate CNE for these elections, for what we saw was (that) in a rapid manner, as the voters could cast their vote within a minute,” he stated.
Morouba also highlighted the transparency of the election method: «We have observed that this method provides transparency, with the counting being automatic. That is something unique, so we haven’t seen any difficulties. We are here learning from the Venezuelan electoral system,» he noted, highlighting the innovation and security of the automated count.
The concurrence of these testimonies from observers from various nations reinforces the perception of a robust and efficient electoral system in Venezuela.
