Through an official communiqué, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejected the new travel alert issued by the United States (US) Department of State, calling it a hostile act laced with cynicism, racism, and political propaganda. This measure is part of a systematic campaign of aggression against the country.
The letter denounces that while the US attempts to discredit Venezuela with unfounded accusations, it continues to persecute migrants, including Venezuelan children as is the case of Maikelys Antonella Espinoza Bernal, who is being held at the southern border without justification or official response. This case demonstrates the use of citizens as political hostages for external interests.
Venezuela questions the moral authority of the United States on human rights and recalls documented cases of children in cages, family separations, arbitrary deportations, and inhumane conditions in detention centers. It also denounces racist laws, police brutality, and crimes against Venezuelan workers, such as those who are kidnapped in El Salvador and subjected to degrading treatment.
With this communiqué, Venezuela maintains its firm stance against external attempts to undermine Venezuela’s stability and reaffirms its commitment to building international relations based on mutual respect and fair cooperation.
Following, the full text of the Communiqué:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the new travel alert issued by the United States Department of State, a hostile act laced with cynicism, racism, and political propaganda, which seeks to fuel the campaign of permanent aggression against our country.
While attempting to discredit Venezuela with unfounded accusations, it is the US government itself that kidnaps, imprisons, and disappears migrants, including Venezuelan children like Maikelys Antonella Espinoza Bernal, held at its southern border without justification or official response, with the clear objective of using her as a political hostage for the Venezuelan far right.
The United States lacks the moral authority to speak about human rights. The images of children in cages, mothers separated from their children, arbitrary deportations, and detention centers reminiscent of concentration camps continue to shock the world. Added to this are racist laws, police brutality, and crimes against Venezuelan workers, such as those kidnapped in El Salvador, who are subjected to inhumane treatment.
This alert does not seek to protect anyone: it is a tool of psychological warfare and disinformation, part of the interventionist script of Washington and its local lackeys.
Venezuela is a country of peace. Those who wish to visit us with respect and a spirit of brotherhood will always find the open doors of a dignified, sovereign, and revolutionary people.”
