President Putin offered 200 new scholarships for Venezuelan students

President Nicolás Maduro announced this Monday that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, has offered 200 new scholarships for Venezuelan youth to receive training in various fields.

During his 79th «Con Maduro+” program, the head of state recounted all the details of his trip to Moscow, Russia, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi-fascist forces.

Maduro emphasized that, during his stay in the Eurasian nation, he was welcomed by Venezuelan scholarship students currently studying various courses at Moscow’s top universities.

They all speak Russian perfectly, they’re all doing very well at the universities, and they’re pursuing tremendous degrees,” said the president, also highlighting that the young people expressed their desire to graduate soon “to build Venezuela up”.

In this regard, he emphasized that the 200 scholarships offered by President Putin are intended for undergraduate students as well as professionals who wish to pursue postgraduate studies. “And I’m sure that if we ask him for 1,000 scholarships, he would give us those 1,000,” he stated, inviting everyone to join this initiative.

Similarly, the Venezuelan president commented that he invited the best artificial intelligence experts in Russia to join the Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences, which begins operations this month.
