«With this assessment, the National Electoral Council (CNE) tells the country that we are ready for May 25th, for the great electoral celebration,» stated the vice president of the electoral body, Rector Carlos Quintero, after informing the entire country that the election simulacra has concluded.
More than 11,000 voting machine operators and support technicians evaluated the performance of the polling stations and voting centers through the National Support Center, in order to expeditiously address any new developments that arose: «We have worked hard to secure the transmission processes with satisfactory results. We thank the people of Venezuela for its broad participation.»
In this regard, he offered an assessment of this Saturday’s election simulacra. In this regard, he explained that the polling stations opened at 8:30 a.m., reporting that a 100% of the polling stations were activated: «Which also, if we compare a bit with 2024, when we were at 100% at 8:45 a.m., shows a 15-minute improvement.»
He emphasized that an important exercise carried out is the response times at the National Support Center, which has 350 operators. This is so that they can record incidents and provide a rapid response time to ensure that, if a device or voting machine needs to be replaced, it is done in the shortest possible time.
«We have positive results there, which means that this team, this national support center that will handle the entire logistical operation of the technical logistics registry, is already prepared for May 25th,» said Quintero.
Another important test carried out this Saturday is a simulation of the regional electoral boards. In this regard, the CNE Vice President emphasized that the regional electoral boards have an important role to play on May 25th because they are responsible for allocating and announcing all regional offices, governors, the Legislative Council, and the National Assembly deputies, both on a list and by name:
«The results of that test, which began at 3:00 p.m., were already in place by 3:33 p.m. What did this test consist of? It allowed the members of the regional electoral boards to download all the legal documents they use for the process of allocating and announcing the positions. This is a positive sign that the regional electoral boards are capable, trained, and familiar with the totalization system to carry out the allocation process,» he explained.
Finally, he called on the Venezuelan people to participate massively and with the same enthusiasm in the elections of May 25, 2025.
