Venezuela will resort to legal mechanisms to make the US return girl separated from her family

The National Government announced that it will resort to all legal, political, diplomatic, and multilateral mechanisms to ensure that enfant Maikelys Antonella Espinoza Bernal, who is two years old, is returned to the country and reunited with her mother, from whom she was separated as she embarked on a repatriation flight.

In a statement released by the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, he stated that the little girl had to be separated in a clear act of extreme violence that is absolutely unacceptable and unthinkable well into the 21st century.

He asserted that this action “is part of so many violations of the rights of our migrants and in violation of international standards, especially the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Charter of the United Nations, once again in the extremely serious case of separating families and removing a minor from their emotional environment, especially from their biological mother.»

The statement added that the girl’s father was also kidnapped and sent, «without any trial or court action, to the concentration camp that the satrap of Bukele built in El Salvador, in a modern representation of the death trains that took Jews to the Nazi extermination camps in Eastern Europe during World War II.»

The Minister for Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, denounced this Friday that “the United States (US) is engaging in human trafficking by stealing Venezuelan children.»

He based his accusation on the fact that a woman named Yorelis Bernal, who arrived on the recent flight from the Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland Plan, claimed that her two-year-old son was «snatched» from her without any explanation and that she was forced to board the plane that brought her to Venezuelan territory.

Cabello emphasized that human trafficking is a business orchestrated by the coyote network, and also noted that María Corina Machado’s mother «traded the children in Venezuela.»

US Admits Separating Venezuelan Child:

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) justified the reasons for separating a Venezuelan minor from her family, alleging that the child’s parents were allegedly linked to the defunct Tren de Aragua criminal gang, as reported the EFE agency.

According to the DHS, the separation was justified due to the alleged ties of the father, Maiker Espinoza Escalona, who, according to the US version, is a «lieutenant» of the Tren de Aragua. Meanwhile, the mother, Yorely Escarleth Bernal Inciarte, was allegedly «in charge» of recruiting young women for the criminal organization. US authorities also indicated that both parents had outstanding deportation orders.
