The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged the Venezuelan people to participate in the Second Popular Consultation, which will be held next Sunday, April 27, for the selection of new community projects.
The Head of State added that the 7,000 voting tables that will be activated on Sunday will begin operating at 8:00 a.m., with the aim of welcoming the people who will exercise their right to vote and choose the community project of their choice.
In this regard, the President emphasized that the relevant projects that should be selected in the different communities of the country must be focused on the restoration of schools, outpatient clinics, sewage treatment plants, paving, among other high-impact projects.
In the same context, Ángel Prado, Minister of People’s Power for Communes, Social Movements, and Urban Agriculture, reported that there are projects structured between two or three communes, with the goal of unifying efforts.
He also emphasized that popular consultations are a vitally important method for strengthening and empowering the people, “a national policy in which we can already see how the national budget is materializing.»
«Let the world know the truth about Venezuela, that we are standing, preparing for great events of the new democracy, the new economy, and committed to building a new civilizing model in Venezuela, with the ideal of Bolívar, from the spirit of Chávez,» asserted President Maduro, referring to the difficulties the country has overcome.
