The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced the creation of the Venezuelan Robotics Federation, focused on technical education and a strong social commitment.
This message was shared during the commemoration of the first anniversary of the Great Mission for Science, Technology, and Innovation «Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán.»
Inclusion and Social Commitment:
President Maduro emphasized that the new federation must encompass the participation of diverse stakeholders, including leaders, tutors, judges, referees, technicians, and students, with the goal of energizing the development of robotics in the country and stimulating interest in this field among young people.
National Robotics Olympiad:
The President also announced that the National Robotics Olympiad will be held on May 2 and 3 in Zulia state.
This event will seek to showcase and enhance the talent of the young participants, contributing to the development of a scientific and technological future in Venezuela.
Mega-university robotics centers:
In his speech, the President revealed that mega-university robotics centers will be established in the regions of Trujillo and Miranda states, as well as in Caracas, thus expanding training opportunities in this field and promoting a scientific vocation among young people.
Support for innovative projects:
Additionally, President Maduro approved funding for 57 new innovative projects submitted to the 2024 National Call for Innovation Projects.
This support is part of the efforts of the Great Mission for Science, Technology, and Innovation «Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán,» which seeks to consolidate sovereign and relevant development for the 21st century.
