Serious crimes against migrants: Venezuela responds to Salvadoran note with evidences of International Violations

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela urged the Government of El Salvador to immediately and unconditionally release the 252 Venezuelans arbitrarily detained, while holding it responsible for any harm to their physical and psychological integrity.

In this regard, in a letter sent by Chancellor Yván Gil to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, the national government stated that this action reflects serious violations of international human rights law against the Venezuelan nationals.

The text urges an immediate, truthful, and complete response to the questionnaire recently prepared by the Public Ministry (MP), which contains fundamental requirements for the investigation and protection of Venezuelans deprived of their liberty.
