Through a communiqué, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected with absolute contempt the new and useless sanctions imposed by the colonial government of Canada against Venezuelan officials, which constitute a regrettable attempt to get in grace with the designs emanating from the metropolis in Washington.
This was published by the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his official Telegram channel, where he emphasized that the position adopted by Canada is a shameful act of submission, since they have decided to act as a mere executor of the aggressions designed by the US authorities, which confirmed the obvious:
«This colony, with pretensions of being an empire, has fallen into absolute ridicule by pursuing a hostile agenda against Venezuela. Their lack of personality and political dignity has reduced them to a mere instrument of useless sanctions, designed to satisfy the interests of others, regardless of the contempt of the sovereign peoples of the world,» reads the communiqué.
At the same time, the Venezuelan government will never recognize these absurd measures, and reserves the right to take reciprocal action against the corrupt officials who have taken these measures: «Venezuela remains firm, sovereign, and determined to resist any aggression with the dignity that characterizes the Bolivarian people.»
