The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, appointed the members who will make up the Secretariat of the Federal Council of Government 2025, with the aim of continuing to advance in promoting the development of the Nation.
This council will be formed as follows:
– Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, at the head of the instance.
– Secretary of the Federal Council of Government and Interterritorial Compensation Fund, Leonardo Montezuma
– Minister of People’s Power for Electric Energy, M/G Jorge Márquez.
– Minister of People’s Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez.
– Governor of Portuguesa state, Antonio Primitivo Cedeño.
– Governor of Monagas state, Ernesto Luna.
– Governor of Cojedes State, José Alberto Galíndez.
– Mayor of Caracas, Admiral in chief Carmen Meléndez.
– Mayor of the Mara Municipality of Zulia State, Luis Gerardo Caldera Morales.
– Mayor of the Maneiro Municipality of Nueva Esparta state, David Morel Rodríguez
This State body is in charge of planning and coordinating policies and actions for the development of the process of decentralization and transfer of powers from the National Power to the states and municipalities.
All these tasks will be established in accordance with the guidelines that will be applied to the processes of transfer of powers and attributions from the territorial entities to the grassroots organizations of the People’s Power, in addition to discussing and approving annually the resources that will be allocated to the Interterritorial Compensation Fund and the priority investment areas.
